A number of our plasma treatment stations allow the user to displace ambient air in the reaction atmosphere in which the plasma arc is ignited and treatment is performed by injecting Nitrogen. ALDYNE™ by SOFTAL goes one step further and allows the user to specify the exact composition of the gas atmosphere. In addition to the treatment station, corona generator, and Nitrogen supply components, an ALDYNE™ system has one further component: The gas mixing panel.

The gas mixing panel of an ALDYNE™ system uses Nitrogen and inert gases to generate a process gas mixture for injection into the treatment station’s electrode gap. The composition of the process gas can be adjusted until the process gas atmosphere and plasma discharge fit the requirements of the related material perfectly. Of course, the gas mixing panel control system allows for different gas recipes for different materials.

In combination with the extremely high power levels that can be achieved with patented liquid-cooled electrodes by SOFTAL, ALDYNE™ offers perfect results where other systems fail. It is a more cost-effective alternative to wet chemical primers and a giant step forward towards environmental protection, process optimization, and long-term cost reduction.

Plasma treatment is the better alternative to wet chemical primers! The high costs associated with the storage and disposal of chemicals are eliminated, as are the high energy and time consumption for the process steps of primer application and drying.

Shape, material, and position of the corona electrode assembly, along with the characteristics of the related treater roll, determine the homogeneity and efficiency of the plasma discharge. Constant further development of our electrodes has generated a number of patents, including our Intelliblade™ electrode and our liquid-cooled ceramic electrodes, both of which have been tried and tested hundreds of times.

There are films that require an extremely high-powered plasma discharge to achieve the desired effect, while others are so sensitive to electric discharges that they would be destroyed even by a standard low-power plasma discharge. There is a solution for every film – just ask us.

ALDYNE™ is the modern alternative to wet chemical primer applications. Instead of wet chemicals, ALDYNE™ utilizes a locally produced process gas mix of Nitrogen and inert gases, which is absolutely harmless. In most cases, a process gas control panel is used, allowing the operator to adjust the process gas mixture to the specific demands of each material that needs to be treated individually.
