CSB corona treating station

The CSB corona treating station typifies the attention to detail in the complete range of SOFTAL treating stations. The stations’ robust design and corrosion proof materials combine to create a product which is both durable for the aggressive atmospheres in which it operates, and straight forward to maintain.

The corona treating station is specified, in combination with a corona generator, dependent upon the customer material an d application to functionalise surfaces of web materials to improve the adhesion of printing inks, lacquers, adhesives and other coatings.

Patented Intelliblade electrodes allow sizes up to a treatment width of 6000 mm.

SOFTAL’s new Intelliblade design represents a major break through for high performance corona electrodes. In addition to further refined heat management, Intelliblade successfully tackles the issue of surface streamers, reduces the power requirement by up to 30%, and sets a new standard for high power, small size, low material stress corona electrodes.
